Nothing says home like Apple Pie. I have a great recipe that you can use.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In addition to the ingredients below, you will need a cookie sheet to place the pie on when it is cooking. Otherwise, liquids will find it’s way out of the pie and into your oven.
Cooking time: 50 minutes
Filling
8 organic apples
¼ cup unsalted organic butter or Ghee
1 -2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
2 tablespoons lemon juice or 3 drops Lemon Essential Oil
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon of cinnamon or 2 drops Cinnamon Essential Oil (You may want to add more to your taste)
¼ teaspoon ground clove | or 2 drops Clove Essential Oil
½ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
2 teaspoons gluten free flour (I use Ottos Cassava Flour)

Crust
I have used a gluten free piecrust that I purchased at Whole Foods or you can use the Bob Mills Gluten Free Pie Crust Mix. I really like both. I prefer Bob Mills since I am able to use a glass pan instead of the aluminum pan that comes with the store bought version.
