Mushrooms are such an amazing plant. Some amazing benefits of Mushrooms besides nutrition would be  stress relief, grounding, the anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties too.  Because they help me stay balanced and in my center, I add them to a variety of meals.   The easy way to consume them are in tinctures and powders.   I add them to my tea, dandelion coffee and hot cocoa.  I have recipes below that you can modify to your hearts desire.  Also, adding them to smoothies is an easy way to support your immune system and reduce your stress levels.   Because the powder and tincture versions are shelf stable, I suggest keeping stock of a variety of mushrooms.  It is your in-house FARMACY.

One of my favorites is Lions Mane as it supports my brain health and is high in protein and is a great source of essential amino acids.

 

Chaga has been known to support immune function, reduce oxidative stress and lower bad cholesterol.  I always prefer to use nature to lower my cholesterol since drugs can have known side-effects.  Next time you are asked to take a drug, perhaps look for the plant based alternative.  There is ALWAYS a plant based alternative as the ideas for drugs all came from nature.  The difference is that “those” companies took the active ingredient of the plant and blended it with harmful chemicals as a method of supporting the human body.  However, the body does not recognize synthetics and thus will store the synthetic medication in your fat cells as a way to protect the rest of your body from harm.
